  • Individual Treatment

Depending on your needs, Dr. Levy will tailor a treatment plan to suit your specific lifestyle, behavioral patterns, and functional limitations. Treatment involves a holistic approach to make therapy accessible, effective, and a true reflection of you and your underlying needs. Whether you desire better work-life balance, more effectual daily life skills (time management, interpersonal communication, task initiation), mental health symptom management, trauma processing, or spiritual wellness, Dr. Levy can formulate a therapeutic approach that is just for you.

  • EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, otherwise known as EMDR, uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain re-process traumatic events. While the experience is still remembered, the fight, flight, or freeze response from the original trauma event is resolved. Dr. Levy is a certified EMDR therapist. EMDR is extensively researched and supports positive clinical outcomes for disorders such as anxiety, depression, chronic pain, addiction, and more.

  • Brainspotting

Brainspotting, similarly to EMDR, is a neuroscience-backed therapy technique that uses eye movements to help people process traumatic experiences. The therapist uses a pointer to guide the client’s gaze to particular spots in their visual field called “brainspots,” areas within the visual field that cause the most intense emotional sensation. Using this connection between the visual field and the mind, Dr. Levy facilitates processing of past trauma, phobias/fears, physical blocks and health issues, and anger issues.

  • Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Letters

Many individuals who suffer from functional limitations secondary to physical disability, developmental disability, and/or mental health issues benefit from the love and companionship of furry friends. After 1 month of work with Dr. Levy, clients are able to request ESA letters that will allow them to access various environments with their pets by their side.

  • Gender-Affirming Letter (surgery-readiness letter)

Dr. Levy has extensive experience helping individuals in the transgender community grow their confidence and express their true, authentic selves using a therapeutic approach that affirms the client’s gender identity. Gender-affirming care targets trauma, shame, family dynamics, social-societal dynamics, and supports authentic self-expression through confidence-building. After working together for at least 1 month, Dr. Levy is then qualified to write individuals SRP’s (surgery-readiness letters) to prepare clients for their gender transition.

  • DBT

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on bolstering emotional regulation through use of mindfulness, self-soothing, sensory strategies, and reality acceptance. Dr. Levy incorporates components Dr. Marsha Linehan’s DBT approach into OT sessions to help clients develop increased distress tolerance, improved emotional regulation, healthier relationships with others and with the Self, and more meaningful participation in daily tasks of living.
